Day 135 :: Monday May 14 :: Ottawa

Make a rubbing by placing paper over rough objects and using charcoal or chalk to pick up the details. Gravestones are the classic source for this technique.

Since there are no gravestones nearby, I chose to use various leaves from my backyard for the stars texture; and a punched metal shelf for the background. Since I strayed on the subject, I decided to stray in the medium too and used wax crayons :)
