Does this book not realize that it's winter in Canada? And that most materials would therefore be buried in snow?! Grrr... A quick stop at Patterson Creek on my way home (including slip-n-sliding down the ice-covered stairs) yielded the following materials:
• little red winterberries
• sole leaf caught in scraggly bush
• cold, crusty, frozen snow
• little branches covered in sharp, prickly thorns (discovered the hard way, of course)
But i do love winter... so here is what resulted:
