Day 164 :: Tuesday June 12 :: Ottawa

Use the wind. Make something that incorporates or requires wind to be complete.

I'll admit it took a while to stop thinking about frisbees and things that can act as frisbees: CDs, aluminum plates, cardboard... anything that is flat-ish and light is fair game! Eventually I thought of a kite, and am proud to say this one was made using only four materials: plastic 'balloon holder' sticks (frame), twine (frame, tail), plastic wrap (covering) and a little scotch tape. Even better - for me, anyway - the frame was all attached using knots i learned ages ago in scouts! Unfortunately, it's not very windy today and it was hard to get a good picture. Will have to try again on a windier day.

The finished kite!
